In 2003, Jiang Nanchun observed something that became the foundation of an industry. Where others saw empty walls and forgotten elevator rides, he saw concentrated attention waiting to be earned.

From a single screen in a Shanghai office tower, Focus Media has grown into the world's largest digital out-of-home media operator — and a publicly listed company on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (002027).

His thesis is the operating principle of every network we build: the most valuable advertising surface is the one your audience cannot scroll past.
